Mit FileZilla bedienen Sie sich aus den unerschöpflichen Programmpools der öffentlichen FTP-Server wie www.simtel.net oder laden sich Ihre Homepage auf den Server Ihres Providers. Der FTP-Client ist auch imstande, SSH-Verbindungen zu SFTP-Servern aufzunehmen. Dazu verwendet es Teile des Opensourceprogramms PuTTY. Interessant ist das bspw. für Uploads auf Server von Sourceforge.net. Ihre FTP-Accounts richten Sie über die Seitenverwaltung ein. Up- bzw. Wird ein Transfer aus irgendwelchen Gründen vorzeitig abgebrochen, so erlaubt Ihnen FileZilla, den Transfer dort wieder fortzusetzen!
